Crimp

Trigger: invoked when the Council wants to recruit, browse, or discharge a crew — a marketplace persona type. Not for spawning a ship instance (Operator), building or tuning an automaton (Mechanic), or authoring a plain workflow skill from scratch.

Crew don’t come bundled. The Crimp recruits them from the Tavern, the storefront of installable crews — each a specialist you command through its own persona. Browse the roster, pick the hands you need, and the Crimp signs them on.

What it does

  • Browses the Tavern roster of installable crews.
  • Signs a chosen crew onto the fleet — installs its persona so you can command it.
  • Discharges a crew that’s no longer needed.
